Through OZEV’s chargepoint grant schemes, homeowners and renters in Wales could be eligible for a grant of up to £500 for an EV charger installed at their property. Specific criteria, regarding type of property, ownership or rental status, and whether it has private off-street or on-street parking, must be met to be eligible for the grant.
As part of the workplace charging scheme, businesses, charities, public sector organisations and small accommodation businesses may also be eligible to receive up to £500 per socket (maximum of 40 sockets per applicant).
Private landlords, registered providers of social housing and property management companies working on behalf of a landlord may be eligible to receive up to £500 per EV charging socket (maximum of 200 sockets per applicant). The grant is for residential properties where the installation of a chargepoint isn’t mandatory (excludes properties exclusively used as holiday accommodation) .
State-funded schools and educational institutions may be eligible for grants of up to £2000 per socket (maximum of 40 sockets).
