Andersen Quartz EV Charger

The Andersen Quartz EV charger is the most compact charger out of Andersen’s range of charging points.

Made in the UK, the Andersen Quartz is a CE certified, type 2 charger that is compatible with modern electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid motors that feature type 2 connectivity. It can be configured as a single-phase 7kW charger or faster three-phase 22kW charger, making it suitable for home or commercial use.

The charging device does not require an earth rod, allowing for faster and cheaper installation, whilst an adaptive Fuse CT Clamp fitted as standard to the 7kW chargers helps to dynamically adjust the intake of power to prevent overloading your property’s main electrical supply.

With smart tariff integration, the Quartz is compatible with many EV smart charging energy tariffs, such as the OVO Charge Anytime and Intelligent Octopus Go, so you can take advantage of lower costs for charging your vehicle. If you have solar photovoltaic panels fitted at your property or you’re considering having them fitted in the future, the Andersen Quartz is also solar compatible and can be powered by the electricity generated by the panels.

When it comes to choosing your version, the Andersen Quartz EV charger has the option of tethered cable or socket only. If you choose the tethered version, the charger will come equipped with a tethered cable, available in 5.5 metres or 8.5 metres for the 7kW version, or 6.5 metres for the 22kW version of the charge point. Unlike the Andersen A2 and A3 charger, the tethered cable is not hidden or concealable, but you can opt to purchase a cable hook with your charger that matches your chosen unit to neatly store the tethered cable on when not in use. If you opt for the socket only version of the Quartz charge point, you can use your own car’s cable that can be detached from the unit when not in use.

The charger features 11 colour options and a number of premium finishes, allowing you to customise the EV charger to suit your tastes. Colours include Midnight Black, Cheltenham Graphite, Windsor Grey, Racing Green, Sherwood Green, Alpine White, Cashmere, Maranello Red, Nova Bronze, Belgravia Blue and Purple Spirit. Upgrade to Accoya wood front in Cotswold Oak, Sorong Teak, French Walnut or Charcoal, or opt for Limited Edition Andersen carbon finish.

Whilst the unit has LED status light at the base of the charger as standard, a 4.3 inch LDC display screen can be added to the Andersen Quartz charger (Quartz Vision) as an optional extra. This can be used to display charging information that can be read at a glance, such as the status of the charger and how much charge has been added to your car.

With WiFi connectivity, you can manage your charger on-the-go thanks to the Andersen App. With a few taps, you can monitor your charger’s usage, remotely secure it, schedule your car’s next charge and a whole host of other smart features to make charging a breeze.
